Richea scoparia, known as the Honey Bush or Heath Scoparia, is an erect shrub to 1.5 metres high by 1 metre across with tapering leaves to 7 cm. It is native to the alpine and mountain areas of Tasmania.

Flowers of red, pink or orange in erect terminal spikes occur in summer.

This prickly shrub is disliked by bushwalkers because it forms dense thickets which can be harsh on the legs if there is no track.

Best suited to cool climates and moist soils.

For sale is a packet of approximately 100 fresh seeds.
