HAND CARVED HANDLE WITH BRASS TRIM WALKING STICK

This is a beautiful walking stick that has a hand carved handle with brass inserts in the handle and around the top.  This may have originally been gilt on the metal but it has worn down to the brass underneath.  I think the handle is made of stagg horn and the stick itself looks like Birchwood with the "bumps" of the wood cut off and sanded.  The wood has had a thin gold laquer put over it. There is not end on it and it looks like there never was one.  I can post or you can pick up. If you pick up we are located just 10 minutes behind Tweed Heads (in the top spot of Bilambil Heights) in NSW. This piece weighs just 200g (without packaging) so I have estimated the postage at $10.00 for Australian Bidders - HOWEVER I will get exact postage and invoice winning bidder with exact postage - I do not charge for packaging and this way you only pay for what it will cost. This is 95cm long and approx 11 cm across the rim - from the bill of the bird to the back of the stick - if this helps.  Hope you enjoy this piece as much as I have - it is from my collection of which I am getting rid of (to  make way for my new obsession!) - I am listing a couple more so check them out.
