Presented here for consideration is a PRISTINE Royal Doulton Wild Rose Vase done on the magnificent mottled blue colour-way. The Rose “G”, or Wild Roses as it is also known, was introduced in 1940 and it had been withdrawn by 1951.

The vase shape is shape 8125, this number is impressed into the base. Printed by hand in black ink is the pattern number “D.6227”. It bears the green stamped under glaze maker’s mark of the style that was in use from 1942 until 1952. This magical vase was manufactured in 1951, I can tell this for sure by the small 24 just to the left of the crown in the maker’s mark.

  • Dimensions

This large and prestigious vase strides in at a HUGE 21.5 cm (8.6”) tall and it has a mouth diameter of 14.2 cm (5.75”).

  • Condition

It is in AS NEW condition; with no chips, cracks or repairs and NO crazing. This is exactly as it was the day it came ou of the factory when it was brand new nigh on 60 years ago.

Wild Rose is a striking pattern and this back-ground colour in my opinion is the best that Doulton ever put floral their patterns on to.

I never seem to be able to find enough of this particular pattern. Hit the BUY IT NOW tab and make sure that you can’t be out bid in the final moments of the auction.
