Being the caring mother that I am I decided to knit my Sharks mad son a nice warm jumper to wear to the games on those windy days at Shark park. As you can see by the pictures the jumper that I lovingly knitted, (over hours and hours), for my 10 year old son is miles to big for him leaving him sad and leaving me digging out the knitting needles and begining the long task of knitting a new one for him.
So, alas, I offer the product of my many hours in front of the tv at night up for auction.
When I started this jumper I was knitting a size 10 but as you can see it is somewhat bigger than that, probably due to the double yarn. I have listed it as a size 11-12 but please be guided by the measurements for fit. The jumper, when laid flat, measures 52cm (20.5in) across the front, 61cm (24in) from top of shoulder to bottom and the sleeves are 44cm (17.5in) from top of sleeve to cuff. The yarn used is 100% acrylic and double strands of 8 ply essentially making it 16ply and very warm. You will notice in the picture of the back of the jumper that there is a blue arrow, now I don't profess to be a perfect knitter, (good but not perfect) and I put the knitting down to do something and when I picked it up again I somehow turned it, going back on the row and leaving a small gap in the knitting, this is not a lost stitch and will not run.
Payment is required within 7 days of the auction ending. Registered post is offered and is advisable, all care will be taken with packaging but I can not be held responsible for items once I place them in the hands of Australia Post, or local pick up is available with cash only, no cheques will be accepted.
