On auction today is a beautiful handcarved stone hippo. It measures 19cm long 12cm wide and around 9cm high. It is handcarved in Southern Africa and is made from Rapoka stone, which as you can see from the photos is a mottled brown coloured stone. A really stunning piece that would look great in a pond or outdoors, but equally at home inside the house.
