This is a hand made hairpin from Tampaksiring, Bali.   

Beautifully made, this decorative hairpin looks very pretty on.   The natural wood is variagated in colour with lovely markings.  Each pin is quite unique!   They give a beautiful touch to your long hair when it is pinned up, and also make a wonderful gift for others.  (I have  popped in some photos of this pick in my hair to show how you can use it, alone or with extras - please see instructions on use in my Guides, especially the second or third Guide. The four prongs are great for grip in slippery hair also!)

This four pronged pin measures approx 5.7 cm in width near the end and 13 cm in length (usuable length 9 cm), weighing 19 gms.   It is handmade from Sono wood, a sustainable and durable hard wood which holds up well in moving to dry colder climates, and has beautiful markings.  It is much more common than other tropical hardwoods of comparable beauty- some of which have been sadly overused and now have become rare.  These are listed as multiple items, so they may differ slightly, being hand carved from a natural material.

This product is made in Tampaksiring, a little town in the centre of Bali.   We first spotted these lovely hairpins in Yogyakarta and bought some there, and by an amazing coincidence we met the maker while travelling home via Bali.  We buy direct from the maker – resulting in fantastic prices for you!
