"BIG WHEELS AND LITTLE WHEELS" by L.J. Hartnett as told to John Veitch, FIRST EDITION 1964, published by Lansdowne, hard cover with dust wrapper and contains 246 pages, illustrated in b&w and 9 3/4" x 6 1/4".
An autobiographical account (Harnett being the General Manager of GM Holden from 1934 through to the late 1940's) of the history and development of the
first all-Australian car, the Holden. Also covers the Hartnett's life in UK and aviation,
his bitter split
with GMH and the manufacture of his own
Hartnett cars etc.
This example has a name/address on the inside of the front cover but is otherwise unmarked in
excellent condition. The binding is tight. The dust wrapper (not price
clipped) has heavy edge wear (including short tears, chips and tape repair) but is still quite very presentable, (refer photo).
A nice example of this book about the post- WW2 motor car industry in Australia.Fixed proper packing and postage, US$8.00 within Australia and AIRMAIL
anywhere else for US$17.50, (but less for surface mail and for New
Zealand). I shall happily combine lots to reduce postage costs.
Insurance is available and you can see from my feedback that I'm
regarded as a careful packer and a prompt shipper etc.
