This is in near pristine condition

Made of solid bronze, these ducks in flight are mounted on a solid wooden base with a brass verification plate.

This sculpture measures 470mm high

650mm wide and 490mm deep.

Quite a sizable sculpture by this famous artist.

I have done a lot of research on Hattakitkosol Somchai and have found other items by Somchai with nowhere near the work involved as this sculpture. Most of Somchai's works are limited editions with a casting number and name stamped into them (IE: SOMCHAI 45/1000 as on zebra on international ebay).

Through my research at International galleries, auction houses, and days of web research it appears, this sculpture was the only one of its kind produced. The complex detail and difficulty to cast this sculpture would explain it being the only one of its kind and its signature SOMCHAI 1000.

The bronzing and patina are in excellent condition. There are a couple of small marks on the base block.
