Hildegard Sessak was born in Berlin in 1915 of Polish ancestry. Her film career began under the Nazi regime and she appeared in some of the propaganda epics of the day although in bit parts. Her involvement with the Nazis did not particularly hinder her career and she continued to make films after the war. I'll list some of the highlights below.

This lot consists of a genuine German cigarette card issued between 1930 and 1937. In general, German cigarette cards make an interesting and inexpensive addition to any collection. The Nazi government of Germany opposed smoking and eventually put an end to cigarette cards. As a result, the native German card collecting hobby never developed to the extent of that in Britain or the United States. As a result, most German cards cost only a fraction of what might be expected from their American and British cousins. Minimum postage is a buck and feel free to accumulate many lots for the same postage.
