I have for sale my Holden Commodore. She is a great car but really is not suitable for my type of work (needs to take wheel chairs and shopping) so need to sell her for a bigger car. Due to the VL’s History in racing she would suit someone who will loving bring her back to her former glory. She has a sound body with minor spot rust from stone chips and one small dent on bonnet.

Because she was one of the last of the VL’s to be made she has extras like Central locking, Immobiliser and car alarm.

Currently I am running a 253 V8 with Eidelbrock manifold and race cam. The original 308 (not 304 and not a turbo!!) is included in the sale if you take the "Buy it now" option only. The car was making a funny noise and back firing. I was told it is probably due to Hydraulic lifters. Decided if I was going to have that done I might as well do the whole motor at the same time. Could have swapped for a recon one but that was cost inhibitive and the motor would not be the original one that came with the car. I decided to put my 253 in the car which got me back on the road quicker and cost less to do until I could get the 308 done up. My job has now changed and I have found the VL to small so let the registration run out on 10/10/09. Will be selling as is, with no roadworthy or reg.

Recently replaced gas converter (2 weeks ago) this has a 2 year warranty on it. Front and rear suspension recently had work done. Automatic transmission lines have been replaced. New radiator (18months ago).
