No Reasonable Offer Refused Bought this car from a dealer in 2002 and has served us well. Has not been used much since buying motorbike in Aug 2007 (held onto this car just in case it was needed). Rego lapsed in Oct 2008 and have been too busy to sell. Started it this morning without any trouble. Idle is lumpy due to inconsistent firing of cylinder 6. It smooths out as soon as revs go over 2000rpm or thereabouts. Possibly just needs new ignition coils (have replaced other possible causes). Have a couple of receipts from services at Hamilton Holden. Since then have taken care of it with the help of my brother who is a Toyota Certified Mechanic. I spent about $500 just before I stopped driving it on; replaced fuel injectors, new ignition leads, oil change etc. Shock-absorbers were replaced back in 2003 (have receipt). Includes manuals and radio PIN etc. Air-con worked well before I stopped using it. When I tested the aircon this morning it blew cool air but not cold. Aircon has already been updated to the new safer gas so re-gas should be hassle free. The car is a bit tired but I'm sure will last for a long time yet. Would make a good farm work-horse or cheap transport for someone who wants good high-way drive-ability. Windscreen has some big cracks and will need replacing if wanting to register. Seats are in good condition except driver's seat at lower right has worn through to the foam (other seats are good). Ceiling felt is drooping in places. Never smoked inside (noone who used the car is a smoker). If paid using Bank Transfer, payment must be verified before pickup. Will accept cash on pickup. |
