We have had a number of emails from the older set out there that know of FE 1956 through old Street Machine magazines., ( June, July '85 ) If you are lucky enought to have one ,then you know the original story. When i purchased the car in Sydney i couldnt believe my luck.. FE 1956 was my screen saver on our computer and here i was driving her home..! FE1956 was a bit of a beast with the four speed in it and that was only at 9lb boost, so after two axles i changed her to a 2 speed auto, changed the LSD centre to a 278 and went up to 14inch rims. The beautiful interior has not altered except for the addition of the chromed taxi rail and the really hard to find 2 speed Speco shifter. I have not alter the engine bay other than to ceramic coat the turbo, jet hot coated the exhaust manifold and repainted the fire wall after the original turbo blistered the fire wall. A polished stainless heat shield now keeps the heat away..! The paint is still original., Candy apple red wine. the paint has aged over the years, showing a few imperfections but the colour is still truelly lovelly and too nice to re do....yet.
The original 4 four speed, chromed chain link gear stick, 8 ball, chromed clutch pedal, and chromed master cylinder will go will the car.. ( if wanted )
