HQ MONARO COUPE

Up for sale is a 1973 HQ GTS Monaro Coupe which i have owned for the past 16 years.

The vehicle is in close to original condition with minor aftermarket changes been made (chrome rocker covers, air cleaner, and stereo etc...).

The body is very straight and painted in Tangerine Orange with black paint outs. It has minor rust appearing in the lower drivers side door, sills and some under the bonnet near the rubber bonnet lacing above the firewall. The rest of the paint is in very good condition.

The interior of the car is in good condition with new door trims, carpet and dash fishscale facia panel. The usual cracking on the dash pad has occured but its not to severe. The seats were changed from black vinyl to velour by a previous owner and has small cracking on top near parcel shelf but rest of the seats are good.

The original motor was a 308, but was taken out when i had my P plates and never swapped back again. I still have the motor in a HQ statesman which is also available to return it back to original factory specs. It would need a top end rebuild but it still starts and runs. The 253 in it at moment runs well and has a reconditioned 350 holley carbie making it economical to run with a trimatic auto gear box.

All the id plates are original and has matching numbers. I have tried to describe the car as accurately as possible to give you a good idea of what it's like. The car would only need minor things to bring it upto roadworthy condition ie front tyres r/h tie rod end etc.
