Up for sale is my mates 2004 xr400 NOT GOING!! It has a blown motor due to the previous owner running it dry on oil, which in turn has caused a smashed piston, 1 smashed cam shaft bearing, bent valves, another shaft near the crank shaft is cracked (shown in one of the photo's) and also the big end is slightly siezed. I am not certain of any more damage to the gearbox but it is possible. Just looking by eye it looks ok down there.

It has never been used as an off road bike and so the suspension is nice and firm and there isnt many marks and scratches on the bike. The bike is complete apart from the chain and 3 indicators, its in good order besides the motor and would make a great bike once rebuilt.

I am able to transport the bike between Smithton and Launceston for the cost of fuel, which from Redpa (west of Smithton) to Launceston costs me about $70 return. If you live in Hobart or the East Coast I can meet you in Launceston also. If you are an Interstate buyer then you will need to organise transport at your own cost.

It has a reasonable reserve and if you dont intend to go through with the sale then please don't bid.
