You are bidding on Light Controlled Electronic Robot, made in Hong Kong in the 1970s. Part no. 338. Manufacturer unknown. This is a 9.5" tall (24cm) battery operated plastic robot, with a remote light controller gun. The robot has a gold head and torso, orange arms, and blue feet. He features a TV screen in his chest. During operation, he moves backwards with alarm sounding and video screen turns on. Then he moves forward with eyes flashing.

Toy is in good, played-with condition in original box. Complete. Robot worked well when tested, performing all the actions advertised on the box and described above. Light controller gun did not function. Box is in good condition with noticable wear on corners and edges. Includes form-fitted styrofoam inserts. Light Controlled Electronic Robot will display well, and make a great addition for any robot or space toy collection. Please see photos.

     Q: When you said the gun did not work, did you mean the light in the gun did not work or did the light in the gun work but the robot did not respond to the light?
    A: Thanks for your question. The light in the gun did not work. The robot seemed to do the things without the light gun anyway. Something is amiss, but the robot does move and light up.
