Honourable Beggars, a satire by Hagop Baronian, edited and translated from Armenian into English by Mischa Kudian. As the flyleaf says, "Baronian, the foremost Armenian satirist, was born in 1841 in Turkey. Of his many works, this is one of his most famous. Here a merchant from Trebizond goes to Constantinople to find himself a wife, but becomes a victim of adventurers in a series of light-hearted incidents." Hardcover with dustjacket, not price clipped published by Mashtots Press, London, 1978, used but in generally good condition, some faint discolouring around the edge of the jacket, 95-pages, approximate dimensions 14cm wide x 22cm high.
