This outstanding medical display torso show the relative positions, morphological characters and anotomical structures of the head, neck and internal organs with special reference to respiratory, digestive, urinary and nervous systems.

Features an exposed spine with removable vertebra and spinal cord segments, a female breast plate and interchangeable male and female genitalia. The female organs include a fetus in the womb. Dissectible into 24 parts: torso, female breast plate, head, eyeball, brain, vertebra spinal nerves, lung, heart, liver, kidney, stomach, intestines, male genitalia, female genitalia with fetus.

1. The Head & Neck:

The right side of the head shows partially the skull bones and chewing muscles (masseter and temporal muscles).  The frontal section of the cerebrum and brain stem through the middle thrid of the thrid ventricle shows the efferent nervous pathway extending from the cortex to the spinal cord.  The 12 pairs of cranial nerves are distinctly shown on the ventral side of the brain.  The eyeball in the orbital fossa is logitudinally dissected so as to show as clearly as possible its internal structure.

The sagital section of the head and the neck can be used for demonstration of the naso-pharynx, oro-pharynx, larynx, pharynx, pharyngeal tonsil, palate tonsil and lingual tonsil.  The laryngeal part shows the cavity of larynx, sinus of larynx and rima glottidis.  The parathyroid gland can be seen at the posterior border of the lateral lobe of the thyroid gland.

2. The thorax and abdomen:

The lungs are enclosed in the thoracic cavity.  The right lung is divided into three lobes, while the left, two.  The section made along the radix of the lungs shows evidently the structure of the the hilum.  A coronal section of the heart displays structural differences between the right and left atria, and between the right and left ventricles.  large blood vessels such as the superior and inferior vena cara, pulmonary arteries and aorta are also shown on the same model.

Internal organs including liver, stomach, pancreas, intestines, spleen, kidney, urinary bladder etc, are situated in the abdomenial cavity undernealth the diaphragm.  The descending part of the duodenum, caecum and a small portion of ileum and jejunum are so made as to show the structure of the wall of the alimentary tract.  The dissecting surface of the right kidney reveals the structures of renal cortex, renal medulla and renal pelvis.  A few thoracic vertebrae can be removed out so as to show the spinal nerves.
