IN 1994,Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson were brutally murdered at her home in Brentwood,California.Sports and film star O.J Simpson was tried for the crime against his former wife,after fleeting on live TV in a Ford Bronco with a gun and thousands of dollars.They had a separated on an uncontested charge of domestic violence.In a dramatic criminal court case that as broadcast globally, he was found not guilty-to the surprise of even his friends. In 1997,nonetheless,another jury in the civil trial found him liable for maliciously causing the victims' deaths. But Simpson flaunted their judgement to this day.
In November 2006, Simpson announced a six-figure book deal and publicity tour in which he would reveal his take on his marriage and how he had committed the gruesome murders that left Nicole Brown virtually decapitated and Ron Goldman stabbed dozens of times, hypothetically. The book's publication was boycotted, and then withdrawn with a public apology by Rupert Murdoch.All 400,000 copies of Simpson's book were pulped.
In 2007, after another court battle,a Florida bankruptcy judge awarded the copyright to the estate of Ron Goldman to satisfy the judgement for wrongful death which had risen to over $38 million. As the Goldmen family saw the book as the confession of the killer they had waited for,they decided to publish the originally approved text. They added their commentary and made it the book O.J Simpon no longer wants you to read.
