ICOM 746 PRO - DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The ICOM IC-746PRO covers 160-10 meters plus 6 and 2 meters all mode. 100 Watts of output is available on all bands - HF, 50 MHz and 144 MHz, making the IC-746PRO a practical choice for all-around base station use. The die-cast aluminum chassis and a large cooling fan help to stabilize the PA circuit, providing 100% full duty cycle operation. The new Pro version features 32 bit floating point DSP and 24-bit AD/DA converter. This combination dramatically improves receiver performance providing ultra wide dynamic range and good third order intercept point. An there are NO more expensive optional filters to buy. The digital IF filter allows your to select 51 filter bandwidths. There are three user selectable filter memories per mode. Soft and sharp filter shapes can be selected in both SSB and CW modes independently. You can also change the settings on the fly and compare! For repeater operation theres is a built-in tone encoder and decoder with 50 CTCSS and 108 DTCS based tones. There is even a built-in Baudot RTTY demodulator.
It has 100 alphanumeric memories, digital RF speech compression, spectrum display, Manual and Automatic Notch, digital Twin PBT, Noise Blanker, CTCSS encode/decode, APF, two stage preamp, automatic antenna tuner and electronic keyer. A built-in automatic antenna tuner operates on the HF bands plus 6 meters. The 746 Pro requires 12 VDC at 23 amps.

AUSTRALIAN BUYERS
Our preferred payment method for Australian and New Zealand buyers is direct credit into our bank account. In Australia we have bank accounts with the National (NAB), ANZ and Commonwealth (CBA) banks. We will email you these bank accounts details generally within a few minutes of you making your Ebay purchase. You can then do an internet transfer into one of these bank accounts or take your funds into a branch and pay your funds in directly over the counter.
Australian buyers can also pay with a cheque (note personal cheques take up to 5 days to clear), bank cheque, postal order etc. which can be mailed to us.
NEW ZEALAND BUYERS
We also have a bank account with the ANZ in New Zealand. This means that Kiwi buyers can pay us in New Zealand Dollars (again using your internet banking or by paying in at a branch of the ANZ NZ).
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS
For international buyers our preferred means of payment is Paypal. If paypal is ticked as a payment method we will pay the paypal fees. We sometimes require international buyers to fax / send as an attachment an identification document such as radio license or drivers license which matches the shipping / paypal address. This helps us eliminate internet scammers. Acceptance of any paypal payment is strictly at our discretion.
Our preferred shipper is Australia Post. We ship everything registered and insured. We generally ship within 24 hours of receiving payment.
Regular airmail (insured) is used for our shipments to New Zealand.
Shipping to countries outside of Australasia is generally via Express Courier International (EMS) or via Fed Ex as we prefer to provide online tracking for our international buyers.
We try not to profit from shipping charges - please be aware that the stamp on the box does not include: cost of registration (now $3), cost of insurance, cost of box and packaging material.

All used equipment sold by radio-exchange.com has an automatic 1 month warranty and all unused equipment has an automatic 1 year warranty. Buyer must pay the cost of freight to our service centre - we pay the return freight.
Our warranty is not voided should you elect to complete basic modifications on your radio (such as fan modifications, general coverage TX mod etc).

radio-exchange.com offer lay-buy terms to Australian and New Zealand customers. The terms of our lay-buy program are simple - payments must be made into our bank account (no cheques, money orders, postal orders etc), payments can be made for any amount / at any time. Maximum lay-buy period of 3 months. No fees or interest are charged. If transaction is not completed within 3 months, Radio Exchange can either terminate the lay-buy and refund your money or reprice / extend the arrangement if mutually agreed. Buyer must keep a record of payments and email this record to Radio Exchange at completion of the lay-buy. Upon completion of the lay-buy Radio Exchange will then mail the goods to the buyer.
