About Us

We are an online business specialising in the sale of new hobby related radio communications equipment. We carry a wide range of ham, marine and land mobile communications gear and ship this equipment all over the world. We operate online only (we do not have a physical store) - this means our fixed costs are much lower than competitors in our industry and we pass this saving onto your our customer. All of our new product is sold with an automatic 1 year warranty - it is possible to extend this warranty via the payment of an additional fee. We also provide a GST (tax) invoice with all purchases and full insurance is included on all shipments at no extra charge. We are the sole Australian agent for Flex Radio and SPE Amplifiers in Australasia. We are not however agents for Icom, Yaesu or Kenwood radio companies and we thus provide our own servicing / warranty support for these brands.

Contact Us

Being an online business, email is our preferred means of contact. We undertake to answer all emails within 24 hours but in most cases the answer is within minutes (not hours).

Payment

We accept payment via direct credit (preferred), postal order or via paypal. Personal / company cheques will also be accepted from Australian buyers subject to standard bank clearance times.

New Zealand buyers can make payment directly into our ANZ NZ account in NZ dollars. Paypal is the preferred means of payment for international buyers (outside of Australia and New Zealand). A GST tax invoice will be provided to Australian purchasers via email.

We also provide a lay-buy service for Australasian buyers for items exceeding $1000 in value (maximum term of 3 months, payments must be made via direct credit into our bank account, no fees or additional costs apply, you must keep record of your payments and email them to us on remittance of your final payment)

Shipping

We use registered Australia Post for all Australian and New Zealand shipments. Items weighing over 20kg will be shipped via TNT Express. Insurance is always included in our quoted shipping price. When shipping internationally we can use Australia Post Airmail (cheapest - but no online tracking) or we can also use TNT Express (more expensive - but with online tracking). Shipping charge also includes cost of our packaging materials, registration, insurance and for small dollar items a modest handling fee maybe incorporated.

Terms of Sale

We are a mail order specialist and ship radio equipment all over Australia, to New Zealand and many other parts of the world.

All used equipment sold by us has an automatic 1 month warranty and all unused equipment has an automatic 1 year warranty. Buyer must pay the cost of freight to our service centre - we pay the return freight. Our warranty is not voided should you elect to complete basic modifications on your radio (such as fan modifications, general coverage TX mod etc).

We will consider trade-ins (Amateur Radio equipment less than 10 years old). Feel free to email us with details of your proposed trade-in.

It is a condition imposed by Ebay (at the request of the ACMA) that any radio transmitting equipment be sold to appropriately licensed persons only. If you have any doubts in respect to your licensing status, please feel free to email us for assistance. This sale restriction does not apply to radio related accessories such as receivers, antenna tuners, speakers, power supplies, antennas etc (only equipment that can transmit or amplify transmission of a radio signal).

No warranty is made or given by the operators of radios-net-au in respect to the appropriateness of the gear for your intended use / purpose (ie that a IC706MK2G will save you in a marine or outback emergency) and we will thus accept no responsibility for any loss or damage you may suffer from the failure / non performance of the gear for your intended use or otherwise.
