For auction… the following:

 

1 x ICOM IC-701 Transceiver (faulty...no RF output)

1 x ICOM IC-SM2 Desk Microphone (no Plug… condition otherwise unknown and untested)

1 x ICOM IC-701 Instruction Manual

 

This radio originally died due to a biasing issue with the final output transistors (2SC2097)

The original drivers (2N6370) and finals (2SC2097) come with the radio, but condition is unknown…. Suspect them as blown.

The radio still functions as normal, except that the band switching is sticky and it stays on 10M. When switched to other bands, the band switch relays can be heard clicking away with no switching happening. 

The cover plate for the PA is missing, but I am still searching for it and may have it by close of auction (no guarantees)

This radio is sold as is and may be a good project to restore to original or for parts.

Packaged weight will be in the order of 10kg so this item will not be shipped outside of Australia.

I will deliver this item to the Perth metro area free of charge, but delivery will not be until my next trip down (usually within 2 weeks).
