Q - How do I program my Radio?
A - IT'S SO EASY...
Firstly you'll need to find & install the 'Programming Software' for your radio.
Note: Software is not available for sale.
But you can find it on the WEB for FREE. Click Here.
Or join a Radio Forum and ask how to find it. Click Here.
Once you have the software, play with it, get a feel for how it works.
The process to changing something is the same for all makes & models:
1) READ the Radio (get the information currently stored in it)
This is where the you'll need the 'PROGRAMMING CABLE'.
2) Save the information (just in case something goes wrong,
you can always get back to before you started).
3) Edit current information, add a scan channel etc.
Need to know what frequency to type in, CLICK HERE.
4) WRITE to radio (don't forget to save the info)
DONE! ;)

Q - How do I connect the CABLE to my Computer & Radio?
A - Too Easy...
Connect the cable together making sure you have the right
radio adaptor (SUPPLIED IT THIS KIT) for your radio connected.
One end of the CABLE has a 9pin connector that connects
to your Comm Port 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Usually the connection at the radio goes into the Microphone Socket.
Please note: Software and a IBM compatible computer is required. We do not supply Software in the package.
Software can be found on web. (Contact the web master of UHFworld to become a member and download software).
Please note:
You may experience problems when attempting to use some versions of software on Win ME, Win2000 & WinXP. If you have problems you may need to use an older version of windows such as Win95 or Win 98.

Q - My computer don't have serial ports?
A - USB to Serial Adaptor
Although this programing cable does not connect directly to a USB port you can use an adaptor that converts serial communication to USB.
Once a properly installed USB to serial device is installed you will be able to program as if you always have a serial port.
BEWARE! NOT all USB devices are the same.
I highly recommend FTDI devices.
