|
You are bidding on the prize of "A Sunday at the Stables, Tulloch Lodge with Gai" for 4 people. You will see the equine stars of Gai stables where you can meet Gai herself. The stables are not open to the public, this was a donation item from Gai Waterhouse. Arrive at Tulloch Lodge at 11am, see some of the horses being paraded for their owners, as every Sunday is "Owners Day". Following the parade, go into the TJ Smith Room for champagne, and mix with the owners. Enjoy a part of racing history with photographs and trophies of champions past and present. The money raised from this item will go to help Ray Smith as this item failed to sell on the benefit night that was conducted on 12 September. It was kindly donated by Gai Waterhouse. We are not a registered charity, however we are raising funds that will be given directly to Ray Smith, (who is my Dad) as result of his recent injuries. A bit about the Ray Smith Benefit. My Dad, Ray Smith has been the owner/operator of Ray Smith’s Auto’s, The injuries that my Dad received were horrific not only physically but mentally. He received 3rd degree burns to his entire face, head, throat and right hand regions. As a result of his injuries he was air lifted to Originally we were told he would not be going home for at least eight weeks. But due to his remarkable healing he was released from Hospital a couple of weeks later to go home and recuperate from his injuries. Since being at home he has continued with on going doctors and specialists appointments without a fuss. Since the accident Dad has been unable to work and has had to close the business permanently. He is no longer making an income and general living expenses don’t stop which has made it difficult for him. Because my Dad is such a good bloke, I have to do whatever I can to assist financially. As he was a sole trader, workcover insurance was not mandatory, and given the small scale of his business operations he was not insured for personal injury.
I thank you in advance and your assistance and your support.
We really appreciate having this item donated, and hope that the successful bidder enjoys this unique opportunity. See our local paper that did a story on my Dad. - http://www.macleayargus.com.au/news/local/news/general/ray-hurt-in-fuel-tank-blast/1595927.aspx
