Ibanez PGB1 Slipknot Paul Gray Signature Bass in Transparent Black. This is the standard right handed version (this is NOT the PGB1L left handed version). It is basically an Ibanez ATK300 4 string customised to Paul Gray's specifications which includes heavier than standard ATK body made of Swamp Ash for more low end and sustain (Check the Ibanez Electric Bass Catalog PDF, The PGB1 is Swamp Ash while the regular ATK300 is Light Ash), B-E-A-D tuning, Slipknot inlays on the fret board, black chrome hardware (bridge, tuners, tone controls) and his signature on the back. The inlays are the Slipknot 'S' and nine pointed star with the number 2 in the middle as that's Paul Gray's number in the band line up. The transparent black finish looks black but with the right direction of light you can see the pattern in the wood, it looks great. These are real recent photographs of the actual item for sale. For 2009 the transparent black model has been discontinued so now it is only offered in Burgandy Wine. The tone controls give great control over the sound, bass, mid, trebble and volume. ATK300 tripple coil with 3 position selctor switch allows for more tone control. It is in very good to excellent condition with only a scratch on the rear flat surface, see photo of rear, I had to adjust the photo to make it show up more. Please refer to the Ibanez website for more information. Although this is listed as pick up only you may organise a courier at your expense. The bass will be double boxed, first in a bass guitar box from my other bass, then that box will be put in a larger box. The empty space between the 2 boxes will be padded. They are the usual angled boxes that guitars come in. Dimensions for the larger outer box are 14cm deep, 27cm high on one end, 57cm high on the other end and 151cm long. Weight would be around 8kg. The weight would be way below what is allowed for a box of those dimensions and volume. This listing is for the bass only and does not include the stand used for the picture. I just replaced 3 strings with brand new Ernie Balls because I had them, the B string is still as pictured.
