I bought this in 2006 when I was playing a bit more electric guitar but have moved to mostly acoustic so selling it to raise money for another Martin. Without knowing much about the brand I bought it purely on sound quality and was struck by the depth and richness of the sound as well as the great sustain. Mainly marketed towards a rock / metal genre, it would be considered a great all-rounder for those looking to move up to a high quality mid-level guitar that sounds like much more expensive ones. It is a solid mahogany body with a 'QM' - quilted maple cap. The look and finish is great, with a warm lustrous sunburst finish and a pale cream trim, great flame inlay in the neck. The strings thread straight through the body which looks good but also contributes to the prolonged sustain. The pickups are double humbuckers (factory fitted) with a good variety of tone combinations with one master tone knob, the middle knob controlling the bridge pickup volume, and the knob closest to the neck controlling the volume of the neck pickup. It also has a standard but sturdy pickup selector toggle switch. This is in excellent condition and has probably been played less than 15 times. There are no significant scratches, and only some minor scuff marks from wear against jeans, that are barely noticeable, would come up beautifully with a light polish and some new strings. Comes with hard loackable case. The guitar is no longer made by Ibanez, but a few years ago received great reviews for its high quality finish and great sound. If you are local you are welcome to contact me to come and try it.
