There are several things that set this kit apart from all the others. First and foremost are the instructions; they are top notch with both a VIDEO as well as a PDF ~ both containing a complete set of photo’s with detailed & concise instructions that will allow anyone complete this Mod is about 45 minutes. The PDF has step by step color photo's so that, even if you've never soldered before, or are not mechanically inclined, the instructions walk you right through it ~ there is a small sample enclosed right here in this listing. Secondly, unlike other inferior mods, this is the most intensive kit you can buy, with a full 17 Point Modification that perfects the Tube Screamer sound. Fat Mod
Changing one of the inferior stock polyester capacitors to superior metal film of a slightly different value fattens up the gain nicely.

TS-808 Brown Mod
The original Tube Screamers were built to overdrive tube amps and this TS9 has been restored to the original TS-808 specs. This mod changes both the 470 ohm and the 100k ohm output resistors to 100 ohm and 10k ohm output resistors for a better bass and less noise.

Superior Output Mod
The output section is the last portion of the circuit that your signal passes through and therefore represents a critical stage that effects the overall tone of the pedal. This TS9 has had its inferior stock output Capacitor upgraded to a Superior Tantalum Capacitor for greater clarity, sweeter high end, and tighter bass. Works in conjunction with the Brown Mod.

Superior Presence Mod
Changing stock electrolytic tone capacitor to a Superior Tantalum Capacitor sweetens up the high end and brightens up the overall darkness of the stock pedal.

Superior Clean Boost Mod
This TS7 has had its inferior stock output Capacitor upgraded to a Superior Tantalum Capacitor for greater clarity, sweeter high end, and tighter bass. Works in conjunction with the Brown Mod.

Superior Gain Circuit Mod
By adding a diode to the main gain circuit, the overdrive becomes creamy & tube-like.

Superior Gain Mod ~ Normal Mode
Changing the value of the 4.7k resistor to a 2.2k Resistor increases the gain of the normal mode. This Mod adds that extra bit of gain I always wanted on individual notes while maintaining the clarity and diction of chords.

Superior Gain Mod ~ Hot Mode
Changing the value of the 2.2k resistor to a 1k Resistor increases the gain of the hot mode. This Mod adds that extra bit of gain to the hot mode and pushes it to the limit of what classifies it as an overdrive pedal.

High Fidelity/Clarity Mod Part 1
Changing four of the low quality stock electrolytic capacitors to higher quality Metal Film Capacitors provides an overall clearer, tighter, more focused tone.

High Fidelity/Clarity Mod Part 2
Changing four of the low quality stock electrolytic capacitors to superior quality Tantalum Capacitors provides an overall clearer, tighter, more focused tone. These Fidelity/Clarity Mods are vital to the overall definition and diction of your sound.

External Footswitch Jack Mod
Adding an external footswitch jack provides footswitchable control between the Normal & Hot Modes, thereby opening up many tonal possibilities as evidenced in the video.

Bass Response
The stock Tube Screamer doesn't allow all of the bass frequencies to pass through. By changing the 470 ohm output resistor to a 100 ohm Carbon Comp resistor, this allows the full spectrum of bass frequencies to pass without altering or sacrificing the classic Tube Screamer sound.

High End Response
By using a 100k ohm output resistor, the stock Tube Screamer allows a lot of noise to pass through your signal. By changing the 100k ohm resistor to a 10k ohm resistor, this mod limits the high end hiss as there are no usable guitar frequencies past 10k ohms. Using the Tantalum Tone Capacitor also helps to make the tone control more useful without altering the classic Tube Screamer sound.

Overdrive Response
When the Drive control is zeroed and the level maxed for clean boost (a real treat if you've never tried it) there is the sweetest bit of sass on single notes with single coils and just a touch of glassy grit with Humbuckers. And as you crank the gain past half-way it is a good bit fatter & hotter than a stock TS7. In Hot mode it's another story with growling power chords and singing sustain. I like setting it to Clean Boost (Gain 0, Level 5-10, Tone 6) and leaving it on all the time so that when I switch channels is adds some *sparkle* to the clean channel and some *sizzle* to the gain channel.

Conclusion
The video does not fully capture the nuance and touch sensitivity ~ must play to appreciate. This Mod has it all, and is well packed and ready to ship FREE USPS FIRST CLASS 3-5 Day Mail within 24 hours. International shipping is $15 to ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!
