DESCRIPTION

There are few stomp boxes as famous as the Ibanez Tube Screamer. With its smooth sustain, tubelike distortion and fat tone the Tube Screamer is quite possibly the world's most famous solid-state overdrive pedal. As evidence of this, in 1984 when production of the TS9 ended, used TS9s were known to sell for 4 times their original price.

The Tubescreamer reissues feature the same careful hand wiring and analog circuitry of the original classics. Both the TS9 reissue and TS9DX feature the TA75558 chip used in most of the original TS9's with the TS9DX adding three settings for increased low-end crunch. The 2004 reissue of the TS808, described as "the Holy Grail of Tubescreamers," features the warm tones of the JRC4558D chip used in most of the original TS808's.
