Ibanez Talman TC 530

I had to try one of these seeing as people rave about them. Yes, typical Ibanez quality, as soon as I checked out this one I went and bought a limited edition PGM Talman designed by the great Paul Gilbert, so this one's up for sale. The birds eye maple neck is a classic. It has been upgraded very nicely so I'll let the upgrader take over from here. About the mods: When I originally got it, the volume and tone pots were unusable, so I had them and their wiring replaced. The jack and switch were also bad, so they have been replaced as well. The new jack seems to prefer some plugs more than others, probably just needs a slight adjustment. I was always cutting my hand on the tall screws that go into the bridge saddles, so I replaced the saddles with a set of Graphtec String Savers and it's very smooth now. The other major mod that you will notice once playing it is a mod normally taken from Fender Strats where you can usually pull the volume knob and enable the bridge pickup in switch positions 4 and 5. I never liked this mod being on the volume knob because I'd hit it while playing, so it's moved to the tone knob. An added bonus of this is while in the bridge setting, if you want to enable both it and the neck pickup, you can pull the knob and achieve this. You can get a wide array of sounds with this. Condition: As with most of the Talmans that come with the stock lipstick pickups in them, this one has some wear on them, though, it will not affect the sound. As I mentioned before the tone pot, volume pot, switch, jack, and some of the wiring has been replaced by new stuff. There is a small scratch just below the A string's tuner on the headstock. It appears to be only cosmetic and hasn't affected tuning at all from what I've been able to tell. Aside from those mentioned, the guitar itself is in great shape. The action and intonation have all been set by my luthier and should be ready to go minus any inherent temperature changes in shipping. If it's not to your liking, you may want to raise it. I like it low.
