INCA MYTHS AND WAY OF LIFE In the Historical-Fiction, Fall of the Inca Empire, José Porlier delivers a make-believe story of linguists surrounded by Inca myth and lifestyle at the time of the Spanish invasion. In his newest release he explores the same myth and lifestyle but gives it straight, a true and accountable approach. This book of non-fiction tells it as it was, before, during, and after the Spanish conquest, where in the year 1532 the conquest of the Inca Empire makes its devastating impact on the land and its people. The episodes of treaty, politics, treachery and mistreatment, handed down by the Spaniards between 1532 and 1544, are made clear, as too are the lives, ways, customs and deities of the natives of Peru, from the time of their first appearance, to their demise. The expansion of the Inca Empire, at the time before the invasion, was dramatic and explosive, writing unknown and twenty odd different languages spoken across one of the greatest empires to ever exist, the only other equal to, or better, being that of the Romans. If you’ve read Fall of the Inca Empire then you may not wish to read this title, as most of the historical content is the same, but without the addition of the fictional side of writing. Fall of the Inca Empire adds colour and lust to the facts, where Inca Myths and Way of Life tells it as it was with the addition of certain aspects not revealed in the previous title. |
