Ingersoll-Rand, the company that orginally developed waterjet cutting technology, manufactures a full range of computer controlled cutting systems. The HS-1000 is a high accuracy moving gantry cutting system. When combined with Ingersoll-Rand's industry proven waterjet technology, the system provides practical, cost effective solutions for a wide range of cutting applications where reliability and accuracy are important.
The HS-1000 has been engineered to take advantage of omni-directional, non-contact attributes of waterjet cutting. Offered in a wide variety of work envelopes, the system provides high flexibility and low cost maintenance. The high rail gantry allows easy access to the cutting area for part handling.
The HS-1000 is controlled by a PC-based controller, which provides excellent contouring accuracy while providing full control of the water and abrasive functions through standard RS-274D NC programming language.
HS-1000 features:
- Rectangular extruded aluminum profiles, comprising the X, Y, and Z axies, serve as both guide rails and rigid support structure.
- The aluminum X axis members are mounted on a support frame constructed of fabricated steel weldments and tubing.
- 42,000 PSI operating pressure (25 hp hydrolic pump).
- Table cutting size 1820mm x 2400mm.
- X and Y axis motion is achieved through high tensile strength steel reinforced timing belts powered by stepper motor drives and gearboxes.
- The linear guide and bearing block system consists of ball bearing prismatic hardened steel rollers, supported by a bearing block. Unwanted movement is eliminated by preloading the bearings.
- 306mm of motorized Z axis motion.
- The catcher tank is designed specifically for waterjet and Hydroabrasive cutting. This reinforced steel unit is fitted with sacrificial steel plates for effective dissipation of spent stream energy.
- The sacrificial workpiece steel support grid is mounted on the catcher tank.
- Accordion type way covers for protection of ways and drive mechanisms.
- Alignable orifice Hydroabrasive cutting assembly for the waterjet cutting head, including the Bulk abrasive transfer and metering systems.
- Abrasive garnet recovery system supplied.
- All technical service manuals supplied.
