Covers the significant aspects of the plays of the chief dramatists between James I and the Restoration. Includes critical anlysis of the plots of those such as George Chapman, Ben Jonson, John Marston/ Thomas Dekker, Thomas Heywood, John Webster / Cyril Tourneur, Thomas Middleton/William Rowley, Francis Beaumont & John Fletcher, Philip Massinger, John Ford, James Shirley/Richard Brome etc.
