This is the full collection of J R R Tolkien’s History of Middle Earth. Included in this auction are all 12 volumes in very fine condition showing only minimal edge wear to the board edges. Each book includes its dust-jacket which is covered in a protective plastic sleeve. The Book of Lost Tales 1 is the only volume to show some light tanning to the page edging.

This is a regrettable sale, however I’m sure they will make an awesome addition to someone else’s collection.

I’ve averaged out the shipping on the books to be bout 7kgs in a 30x30x30 sized box. I do want to ensure that the books arrive in great condition so I will bubble wrap them inside the box. There is no charge for handling and the winning bidder will only pay for the actual shipping charge.

Book Grading

Books are graded in the following format:

Very Fine: Book is As New with no discernible marks to the boards, pages or dust-jacket. Unread and considered to be in Mint condition.

Fine: Book shows very faint wear to the bottom edge of the boards. The dust-jacket is unmarked but may show signs of light creasing, generally at the top of the spine, but there are no tears to the jacket.

Very Good: Books has minimal wear to the bottom edge of the boards and may have a few minor bumps to the corners of the boards. The dust-jacket may show creasing and minor wear to the top and bottom of the jacket and feature very minimal nicks.

Good: Book has increased wear to the boards either through age or poor treatment. Bumps and indentations to the corners of the boards are more prevalent. The dust-jacket most likely will feature some tears and creasing along the top of the spine. 

Acceptable: Book will show substantial wear to the boards either through age or mistreatment. The dust-jacket if present will feature tearing along the edges and may show enclosed tears and considerable creasing along the upper and lower edges of the spine.

Please note that any features such as inscriptions, name plates, remainder marks, price clipping or other defects will be stated under the Description.

I will ship all purchases within 48 hours of payment being received. All items are carefully packed to ensure they arrive safely at your door.

Returns

I offer a No Questions Asked returns policy on all my book auctions within 5 days of you receiving the item. Upon return of the item you will be refunded the full amount of your Auction winning bid.
