Sewing with the CORRECT TYPE and good quality needle makes a world of difference!

My Hubbie is a machine mechanic. The number of times machines come in with a 'problem' that is directly related to a blunt, bent or incorrect needle is gobsmacking!

Did you know that the shuttle hook misses the needle by about 0.05mm on its way around to collect the thread?? Thats about a hair width. If the needle is even slightly bent (not visible to the eye), it can cause missed stitches etc.

His advice is DO NOT put a needle back into the pack or the drawer after a job - it will not sharpen itself OR straighten itself with a rest! - simply give you grief the next time you use it ..... will you remember it has been used or how much??
