JAPANESE WW2 AIRCRAFT VACCUM INSTRUMENT GAUGE

This is a high quality replica of a vaccuum gauge as found in most Japanese Imperial Army fighters such as the Oscar and  Tony. 
 It was also used in some of the Army bombers including the Sally and Dinah.   I don't believe it was used in any of the Naval aircraft.
 This item is a faithful reproduction only and is NON AIRWORTHY and was made for static display only. 
 It was made by comparing to an original item (see photos).   The unit with the red knob is the original and IS NOT FOR SALE. 
 Those who have access to either of the Robert Mikesh Japanese aircraft books will note that the photos of this gauge in these books
 show that the face of the dial is black with light lettering.  
  The original I borrowed to make this from has a bronze/brass coloured dial with black lettering (again, see photo) and I have followed suit.

This gauge has been made from cast aluminium (as was the original) and the dial made from brass.  
 It has been made so that if the knob is turned the dial will revolve. I believe this is a must for anybody restoring Japanese Army aircraft instrument panels.   Try find an original..
