This comic grades: Fair-Poor, coupon off back cover.
OUR GRADING GUIDE: MINT (M) - Perfect, flawless, but this grade is VERY RARELY used. NEAR MINT (NM) - As new, or would pass for new at a glance. On closer inspection there may be minute, but visible wear at corners or edges, or the smallest of creases. Cover is glossy, and pages are white or off-white. Slight degree of page discolouration due to age. Discreet, small UK price stamp permissible. VERY FINE (VF) - Comic that's been read once or perhaps spent a little longer on the rack in the shop. Just the slightest wear or creases, a comic that would otherwise grade NM might downgrade to VF with perhaps a 1/4" cover crease or tiny, barely visible tear in the cover, or the minutest cover mark or stain. FINE (FN) - Still clearly looked after, read a few times carefully and stored away, cover still glossy or colours bright/clean, slight creases, tiny marks, perhaps a light crease on the spine, first signs of stress at the staples(must be attached at both) perhaps. VERY GOOD (VG) - Clearly second-hand but still respectable and appealing. Wear at edges and corners, creases including possibly a long crease or two if otherwise fine, small cover marks such as a very small price or date. No comics in this grade or above should have tape or other repairs, except possibly the tiniest tear seals, and preferably these should be mentioned unless the comic is of nominal value. GOOD (G) - Definitely worn with various defects possible, such as large price mark/book shop stamp to cover, tape and other repairs, corners of covers may be chipped or other small pieces missing but no more than about a 1" corner. Page quality declining down to browning pages but still not brittle. Loose at one or both staples, but still quite readable. FAIR (F) - A very rough copy that's not at all cared for or has a major defect such as water damage/staining throughout, a piece of the cover missing up to about 1/4 (front or back). Tape, repairs, scribble inside or out, large price marks/stamps, soiling, burn marks, and page quality so low that edges might be delicate, though not substantially brittle. POOR (P) - Not collectable unless it's something really special, and not worth having unless you feel it might be years before you have a chance at another. However, unlike some US grading systems, all comics, even in poor condition, must be complete and readable, though part of a panel or a coupon out is permissible. Missing pages, and certainly front and back covers, should always be mentioned. A poor comic may be brittle and possibly deteriorating from further handling. May just have a high accumulation of defects permissible in higher grades.
