LARGE GREEN AND BROWN STONEWARE VASE- SIGNED JOHANO

This is  a very interesting vase, in a brown stoneware, with a green glazed rim. It has obviously been hand thrown and very carefully made, but the mystery comes in trying to decipher the inscription. Does it read Johnno? Johano? Johana? and why are none of these mentioned in Geoff Ford's book?

My guess would be that this pot was made in the late 1970s or 1980s, simply from when the colour of the glaze was fashionable.

The vase measures approximately 20cms across and is 24cms high.

The vase is in  good condition. 

 

The postage quoted is for this as a single Item being sent to the Eastern States ( Qld, Vic, NSW); postage to WA, NT, SA and Tas is a little higher- please ask for a quote. Overseas postage also requires a quote.
