What are Australian postage rates from Designer Discounts?
Our philosophy is that packaging and handling fees are just a cost of business! This all means that any bubble-wrap, styrene ‘beans’ or packaging materials needed to make your parcel safe will be included FREE OF CHARGE.
We won’t charge you a fee for us to put it in the post!
Therefore, postage costs will be offered at standard Australia Post rates, according to the following:
* if it will fit safely into a pre-paid satchel,
or if not;
* the parcel weight,
* parcel dimensions and
* your address
Express Post or insurance is an optional extra. Note that we can not be responsible for packages after they leave our control. We do note, however that we have sent over two hundred parcels, they ALL have arrived in tip-top condition, so there should be no cause for concern (again, refer to our feedback reviews). We post twice weekly on Wednesday and Friday; items are packaged after payment is received (in case buyers opt for different postage methods).

Please note that International Postage will need to be quoted according to your location. We must impose a small handling fee for overseas postage (AU$5.00) due to the time required going to post office, purchasing different (padded) bags, completing customs declaration etc. We trust you’ll understand this.
How long does it take to receive a parcel from Designer Discounts?
We offer speedy and efficient systems to ensure your parcel is sent in a professional manner and timeframe.
Please remember that direct payments through internet banking will not show up in the recipient (our) bank account immediately; the funds are usually transferred overnight if the next day is a weekday.
As an example, if you pay on a Monday, the funds are usually transferred between banks overnight. We check our banking daily on weekdays, then reconcile the payments, check the amounts and postage methods, pack up the goods and then post either Wednesday or Friday, depending on when the payment and packaging was completed.
Actual postage times are in accordance with Australia Post and depend on whether the parcel is sent by regular post (then takes between 3 and 5 working days, according to your location) or Express Post (which is guaranteed weekdays overnight delivery to most postcodes in metro areas; we suggest you contact Australia Post if you are uncertain about what zone you are located in)
Our items are GUARANTEED AUTHENTIC. We don't do consignments, and we source our genuine designer labels ourselves, from extremely reliable sources.
Exchanges are offered in the unlikely event that we have not accurately described an item (within reason of course) but we cannot exchange for a buyer simply changing their mind or not reading sizing. If there is any concern with an item that you have received from us, please contact immediately. If the concern is genuine, we'll accept the item back for exchange or replacement, as long as it's posted back within three days of receipt.
