For Auction is my Jaguar Sovereign V12 Series 111 Saloon. Having purchased the Jaguar in December of 2007, I have found it a pleasure to own proving to be very reliable and comfortable not to mention economical to run thanks to the duel fuel/LPG.
This is one Jaguar that has been well maintained and drives well after 279,630 Kms. Everything works including all the electric windows, power mirrors, central locking, stereo, cruise control and the climate control air conditioning which has been converted to R134 gas. The only two accessories which are currently not operating are the Glove compartment light and the centre dash map light! All the leather upholstery is in good condition for the age of the vehicle as seen in the photo gallery. Carpets are good and the hood lining is just beginning to sag towards the rear window. Paint and body work are good apart from some minor car park type dints a few chips and scratches as to be expected on a vehicle of this age. In saying all that, it still presents very well and receives many compliments from other motorists.
The original Jaguar Leather Compendium is supplied, having all its services from new, completed mainly at Kellow-Falkner South Yarra or Mike Roddy Moorabin. The original toolkit was not supplied when I purchased. The tyres currently fitted are Toyo and are the correct original size as from the factory. Being 215/70/15’s they have approximately 60% tread remaining.
A new windscreen was fitted in February for registration renewal. When doing so a small amount of rust was removed and the chrome mould left off to help stop any further rust occurring. The tappets have only been reset in the last month. Any one that knows about Jaguar V12’s will tell you this is quite a major service (& expensive) but is crucial in keeping them performing well. The doors have had rust repairs prior to me purchasing but appears to have been done well as it has not reappeared. It is worth mentioning that I have returned fuel economy as low as 7km’s to the Litre on freeway journeys. When purchasing LPG @ 50 cents per Litre this calculates to $7.00 per 100 Km’s. Which is extremely good for a V12 Jaguar!!!!!
Overall, personally, I would rate the car 7 out of 10, although I welcome and recommend viewing prior to bidding. This can be arranged via appointment at North Ryde in Sydney on week days or on the Central Coast of a weekend.
