Jaguar XKR XJR supercharger upgrade add 30-40 BHP

This is a well known performance upgrade. Other sellers offer these at £300 and are made in aluminium!

This auction is for an upgraded (smaller) supercharger pulley, once fitted this pulley will add around 30-40bhp (or 10%) and considerably improve torque and acceleration across the rev range.

NOW INCLUDES UNIQUE NYLON DUMMY PULLEY to ensure easy fitment.

So how does it work?

Quite simply, our superchargers are belt driven,  the lower crank pulley is 6" and the standard upper pulley is 3" so a ratio of 2:1in other words, the upper pulley rotates twice for every rotation of the crank pulley. So by decreasing the size of the upper pulley by a predetermined amount we can change the ratio, and thereby increase the speed of the supercharger. The predetermined amount has been proven to be critical, too small and the charger gets too hot and although it will comfortably take the increase, the air inlet temp rises, which then robs us of those precious bhp...  Hence the size being critical.

There is no need for a re-map of the ECU as our cars will automatically compensate for the higher boost, The inlet pressure is increased from 12 to 15psi (hence the small temp increase). Should you decide to go for both the upper and lower pulleys then you may well need to go a little further with your mods and fit a larger intercooler radiator. These pulleys are sold elsewhere for up to £300 and some are made in Aluminium, which is fine until they get hot, and then they tend to slip as Aluminium has a lower temp tolerance than steel.  But a lot of companies use aluminium as it is easier to machine.

My pulleys are made from high grade steel that will not slip.

You can use the existing charger belt... no need for new unless your existing one is worn

Comes with full fitting instructions and can be DIY fitted within 2hrs or any capable mechanic could fit for you.

Fitting service is available at a cost of £75 if needed. My main workshop is in Devon, but i also have a fitting partners in Norfolk and Merseyside who will fit for £100.
