Japanese traditional glass "Fu-Rin" wind bell (wind charm).
Furin (wind bell) is very popular item during summer in Japan to feel the nice breeze and forget about hot and humid weather.
It is not well known these days but furin was believed to have power to protect from evils.
Japanese Furin came from China during 6th century with Buddhism but the way of usage was quite different.
In China, they used as a tool for divination.
But in Japan, the sound of furin was believed to protect from evils.
Therefore; furin were hanged from four corners of temple to protect neighbors and nobles hanged to their houses to protect themselves.
