Japanese Geisha Maiko Pro Kansai Tokoyama Bintsuke Wax

Kansai Tokoyama Bintsuke is the wax used in virtually all traditional Japanese 'Nihongami' hair styles to straighten and shape the hair or wig. It comes in 16 degrees of hardness with #1 being the softest and #16 the hardest. However #1 - #5 are not available in this season so they start from #6. Please specify which hardness you would like when you purchase the item. The most useful for general purposes are #8 and #9 as it can easily be melted for use. To use it, just soften it between the hands and apply to either the comb or directly onto the section of the hair being styled. It may also be used the same way as 'Kabuki Abura' as an undercoat for the opaque, white 'Doran' Shiro-Nuri paint. This Bintsuke wax is the exact item used by professional 'Tokoyama' hairdressers when styling the Maiko and Geiko's hair and wigs. Note: a real wooden 'Bin-Gushi' styling comb is invaluable for separating the sections of hair and getting the right distance between the strands.
