This is the white face powder as used by Geiko and Kabuki Actors. It is applied with a soft pad or brush over the 'Kabuki Oshiroi' (Doran) white face paint to soften and blend the makeup. Note: You can not produce the true opaque white makeup effect with only this item! You need an undercoat of 'Kabuki Abura' and 'Kabuki Oshiroi' white face paint prior to applying this to get the authentic effect...

This is the exact item used by the Maiko and Geisha of Gion for finishing off their Shiro-Nuri makeup. We get them from a supplier in heart of the Gion Kobu 'Hanamachi' District that has a long history of supplying makeup to the Maiko and Geiko of Gion and to Kabuki Actors from the Minamiza.
