A sudden change of plans forces me to sell a lot of gear... These have to go along with all the rest...I don't want to really and they're worth a lot more than this... check out the stores... they're selling these for $2,000 upwards... oh well... my loss is your gain. Grab them now, you won't get any this cheap again anytime soon. These are not the crappy miniatures you see on Ebay.... or the unsatisfying later abridged ones... or any of those late ones in the 1800s. These are the full-size early ones... complete with all words, all the examples of use, all the etymology... everything that Johnson put in... plus they include all the updates of the fourth edition. They're big... each volume 12 inches by nine by three inches thick... A to K and L to Z In amazing condition, all pages are flat and clean... it can be used every day without worrying about it falling to pieces... the covers and binding and spine are very strong. Great reading... Johnson's book is still a good read 250 years later (check out the examples for fart). See all the changes... how J and I are the same letter and U and V too. I can get them to you in 2 days as well, if you want.. I've put a "buy it now" price in so you can get them straight away ahead of the others (don't forget if you put a bid in on the lower price, the buy it now option vanishes and you have to wait) |
