    Jolly Phonics is a leading UK reading programme, using the synthetic phonics method of teaching letter sounds in a way that is fun and multi-sensory. Children learn how to use the letter sounds to read and write words.

     

    This new Jolly Phonics software is perfect for any child who is learning to read and write with phonics.

    The CD-ROM includes over 20 fun activities. The games are available in different levels: easy, medium or hard - ideal for children at all levels of early reading.

    The main menu features Inky's mousehole where all games can be accessed. There are seven zones, each teaching a particular skill. By clicking on each of these, children will be taken through a number of fun and enjoyable games, including:

    LETTER SOUNDS - the perfect way for your child to learn and revise all the 42 letter sounds and actions.
    JIGLETS AND PICTURE PUZZLES - two different games which are ideal for practising spelling by hearing the sounds within the words.
    ANT LETTERS - helps with recognising a spoken letter sound.
    WORD AND PICTURE MATCHING- helps with reading a written word.
    ANT MAZE - helps with spelling a spoken word.
    WRITING LETTERS - for practising letter formation.
    THE SOUND HIVE - identifying letter sounds in words.
    WHAT'S THE WORD - blending sounds together to say a word.
    READING TRICKY WORDS - a perfect game to help learn tricky words.
    SPELLING TRICKY WORDS - for practising spelling.
