The Artist

 I am a contemporary Australian part time artist who has sold works both nationally and internationally. I have also created 3D children works that have been sold worldwide, which my children love as well.

I was born in the Brisbane Royal Womens Hospital on the 20th of August 1971. Adopted to a labourer and a stay at home mum, I grew up in the small Queensland country town of Maryborough.  As a child I was very sports orientated, playing several sports at state level.  In my spare time I was always drawing, and won several art prizes at primary school. But it was my sports I was always most concerned with. Realising my artist abilities, mum put me into private art lessons at the age of 11 with my grandmothers art teacher and friend, which over 4 years taught me the basic techniques in many different mediums.

I was married by the age 22 and completed the final year of my apprenticeship (Diesel fitter). Over the next 8 years I concentrated on watercolours, winning several Highly Commendeds at local shows. I now have 4 children and work in a coal mine with an even-time roster. In the last 4 years I have started doing acrylics and pastels  which I have sold both locally and on Ebay. I have also completed several commission works and have sold over 200 pieces during these 4 years. I really love my art, and doing it is always a smooth natural feeling which brings me to try more and more challenging pieces.
