This is a Kodak Kodamatic 940 Instant camera with build in electronic flash in good working condition!
I inserted 4 penlight batteries and motor transport as well as electronic flash, with flash ready light, works great!
This camera comes with the original Kodak box and service card, so ready for display!
Due to a law suit 23 years ago, Kodak was banned from producing and selling of instant cameras/film and forced to take their versions of the Polaroid Instant camera system back. Therefore there are only very few of these cameras left. After all, when you brought your camera back to the shop, Kodak initially offered the owners either a Kodak share, a new camera, or 50 U.S. dollars worth of Kodak merchandise.
Most people didn't want a camera that was useless due to the fact Kodak wasn't allowed to sell films for these cameras anymore! In a later stage the Kodak arrangement was stopped by the courts and final settlements called for owners to return the nameplate for a refund in cash/credits. There were many cameras left without the nameplate which are virtually worthless. Obviously my cousin, who owned the camera, decided to keep his camera (with nameplate), so that is why I can offer it here..
As the returned cameras where destroyed en mass, and the ones that remained lacked the nameplate, this became a collectors item in the process!
Rarely seen, especially on Aussie eBay, here your chance to get hold of one,
