Kashmir weaving watch pouch Iran Islamic Middle East





Kashmiri weaving has long been treasured by Iranians and no matter how small a fragment is, it is not wasted.  This exquisite little watch pouch was undoubtedly fashioned from carefully saved pieces of a wedding shawl and would date back to the 19th  century at least.

The pouch is trimmed with metallic braid and lined with  old purple silk, probably from Bukhara or Afghanistan.

The side shown above is one piece. The side shown below has two   barely visible joins

Please note that our items are one off original pieces and cannot be replaced. 
We strongly recommend the purchase of insurance for your items in shipping.  Whilst we do take the best care in packaging your items and ensuring the items are sent in a timely manner, we cannot take responsibility for postal services.
