This beautiful baby grand piano is fully made in Japan (not Indonesia or China, like some of the cheaper models, such as the GM10). Measuring 5'1", it is not the smallest baby grand (there's a 4'9" and a 5' even). It will sit comfortably in any size room, shaped perfectly to fit snuggly into a corner between two walls, but would look just as grand in the centre of a showroom hall. It has three pedals, including the full sostenuto.
At only 13 years of age, it is still very young in piano years and is in excellent playing and cosmetic condition, with only two very minor faults, one of which has already been repaired: One of the white key tops is chipped, which can easily be filled or replaced (ask your piano tuner) and the adjustible stand on the back of the manuscript rest snapped off and has been put back together, now causing no trouble at all. The hammers and felts are in perfectly plump condition, having been used very little. There is no rust to the strings and no cracking or buckling to the solid spruce soundboard. There are no noticeable scratches or dents to the mirror-like surface. After a dust and a tune, which are always necessary after moving a piano, it will be perfect.
Unfortunately, inspections are not available for this piano as it is currently in storage out West. However, I personally guarantee the quality of this piano with a solid exchange guarantee. All questions are welcome. Be quick, though - at this price, the piano is likely to sell prior to auction end.
KEEP IN MIND THAT IT WAS BOUGHT NEW IN 1996 FOR $15,999, WHICH IS THE RECOMMENDED RETAIL PRICE FOR THE CURRENT COMPARABLE MODEL, THE GM12.
I'm so confident you'll love your new piano, I'm backing it by an exchange guarantee: If the item doesn't live up to my description, I'll replace it with anything in my award-winning Sydney music store up to the same value or give you store credit for future use. Try finding that elsewhere on ebay!
