What is it about King Gee clothing that makes it the standard issue uniform by so many Australian companies?

1. Hi Visibility and fluoro dyes are very expensive for the good quality versions.  You'll notice very quickly that cheaper shirts may meet the Australian standard at the time they are sold, but each time they're washed, the dye slowly runs out of the fabric.  It means you're going to be replacing your clothing a lot more often if you go for a cheaper brand.  If you're an employer, it may also mean an unfavourable investigation by WorkCover if your employee was involved in an accident that could have been prevented by compliant clothing.  And your potential customers will notice you look neater and cleaner for longer.

2. UV resistant fabrics are made of a close-weave textile that's difficult to make to a high quality.  When brand new, a cheaper fabric may meet the Australian standard but work clothing is often stretched and put to hard wear which often results in a loosening of the material, thus letting more light through.  If you hold a good UV fabric up to the light, it will be as good after 2 years as the new one you bought to replace it.  The failsafe way to test this is to have it measured at a lab.

3. Synthetic fabrics tend to cling like Glad Wrap when sweaty or wet.  As you could imagine, this makes working very unpleasant and employees will often just take the clothing off or slow down their productivity.  UV clothing ceases to be effective if it's taken off.  All the King Gee shirts we sell are treated with a wicking technology that draws sweat from the skin to the surface of the clothing.  It makes the wearer a lot cooler and stops the clothing from clinging.  The same wicking technology also prevents those unflattering salt rings that appear after sweat has dried, thus keeping you more presentable for longer.

4. The collars and cuffs of King Gee clothing are knitted not machined, so you won't feel itchy all day like you've just had a haircut.

5. The buttons and threading are high of quality, so no matter how many times your clothes go through the wash or dryer, they won't crack or fall off.  You'll also notice the buttons slip through the button holes very easily so you can unbutton for lunch and button back up for working outside.  If you're working in a dusty environment the top button also closes very easily to stop dust and saw dust from going down your shirt.

6. They are one of the only shirts on the market with a top pocket.  But they've also added a separate pen pocket too.  I have lost count of the number of times I've had my hands full and slipped a tool, torch, phone, or iPod in that pocket - it's very handy.

1. CHECKOUT PROCESS. When you have won the auction, please complete the checkout process for this item within your eBay account.  Using this process means we know when you've paid and you know when the item has been posted.
2. FEEDBACK.  Once you have received your item, please leave us with feedback so we can reciprocate and close the transaction.  If you have any matters which you feel need to be resolved, please give us the chance to rectify things before leaving negative feedback.
3. COLLECTION OF ITEMS is welcome.  For bulky items unable to be posted, our collection fee is $15, for postable items our fee is $10.  If you choose to collect an item for an auction, we will store the item for you at no charge for 7 days following the auction close.  After this time we will charge a storage fee of $50 per day regardless of the item's value or size.  We will continue to charge this storage fee until the item is collected OR until the eBay process leaves the buyer with a non-payer strike OR 28 days of paid storage, whichever comes first.  If you choose not to go ahead with purchasing the item for whatever reason, we will still charge the relevant storage of the item.  We don't have a shopfront and we are often out on the road, so if you make an appointment to collect an item and the appointment is not kept, we will send the item to you by the most cost effective means at your own expense OR charge you for one day of storage, whichever is the lesser amount. If in doubt about collections, please contact us before bidding.
4. INITIAL CONTACT.  Please contact us within 3 days of the auction ending and finalise your payment and collection within 7 days of the auction ending.  If this doesn't happen we will use eBay's debt collection process.  Like you, we like to be paid as soon as possible.
5. YES WE HAVE A RETURNS POLICY!
   When returning an item, the product must be returned in an un-used and unopened state within 60 days of the auction end date and our refund policy does not include shipping costs in either direction.  Please check that your item is covered by a returns or refunds policy before returning an item.
6. PAYMENT METHODS. If paying by cheque or money order, we will wait for funds to clear prior to dispatch.
7. INSURANCE.  To date, every item we have posted on eBay has made it to the buyer successfully, however, as we don't take responsibility for lost or stolen items, we recommend insurance on any items you'd be sad to have gone missing in the mail or to have arrived damaged.
