Kombi VW 1916cc motor..very good condition, lowered

1974 KOMBI with 1916cc & Professionally Lowered 4"

Due to need for money and new project selling my much loved Kombi that I have owned for 12years.

The body is very good with new paint 4 years ago and hardly used since then. Who ever wins just give a good polish and will come up a treat.

The interior has 2 reclineable snug fit aftermarket seats as rear has been removed for fitting of custom interior.

The Kombi 'Alice' has never been in an accident and vertually rust free.As far as I know has only had 3 owners.

The motor is big bore 1916cc with the modifications listed.

Twin 40mm Kadron Carbs, Manifold and Linkages.

Has NOT been Tunnel Bored.Original casing (German), as not all machinist do a good enough job. 5 motors were pulled down until one found that was original.

009 Distributor.

Scat 35 Cam.

High Volume Oil Pump.

Balanced with 8 Dowelled Crank instead of standard 4.

Heavily Lightened Fly Wheel for Throttle Response.

Chrome Moly Push Rods.

Head has been Ported with Larger Inlet and Exhaust Valves, with Heavy Duty Valve Springs.

Extractors with Free Flow Muffler.

Unfortunately needs new clutch as it failed at the beginning of this year when towed home.I had to leave with tow truck driver and when dropped back the next day motor sounded a little sick with a rattle. So has not been started since then.May have dropped a valve but unsure, hence the price. I'm always honest so thats what I know.

The motor has only travelled about 10,000kms since the rebuild and was done by one of Adelaide's foremost Volksy specialists.

It has a Pioneer CD player and front split speakers. They are not going with the Kombi unless you want for $300.

PS..Number Plates are purchased separately and haven't reissued since beginning of year, so unsure if someone hasn't taken the name  'VWKOMBI'.          Cost approx $290 a year to register the plates.
